The SASNM Organizing Committee has successfully negotiated very favourable deals with the owners of Khaya iBhubesi. They have for instance agreed to substantially discount their normal (2011) prices and to fix these prices for the SASNM Congress in spite thereof that the Congress will only be held towards the end of 2012. They have also promised to (if necessary) assist the Committee to secure the same or better deals at nearby Hotels and/or Guesthouses that offer services of a similar quality.
Please note that the facilities at Khaya iBhubesi are such that either 73 single delegates or 148 sharing delegates can be housed on site. Breakfast for the attendees that will be staying at Khaya iBhubesi, as well as all lunches, dinners and functions (Welcome, Theme & Gala Dinners) will, however, be hosted at Khaya iBhubesi. The Organizing Committee will therefore prefer it if most (if not all) of the delegates and attendees could be accommodated at Khaya iBhubesi and thus, people are encouraged to team up and to share rooms. As indicated below, there is also quite a difference between the single and sharing rates and it therefore makes financial sense for people to share.
However, if it becomes clear that the number of people that will be attending the Congress will be such that it will not be possible to accommodate all at Khaya iBhubesi, the Organizing Committee will secure accommodation for the extra delegates or specific groups of delegates at nearby Hotels or Guesthouse. In such instances, these delegates will only be provided with Bed & Breakfast at the Hotels or Guest Houses as all other meals and services will still be provided at Khaya iBhubesi. The Committee will endeavour to ensure that the services that will be provided at the alternative facilities are of a similar quality as those that will be provided at Khaya iBhubesi and if the applicable rates differ from the Package Deals referred to below, this will be communicated through to the relevant delegates. A free Shuttle Service between Khaya iBhubesi and the relevant alternative facilities will also be made available to such delegates.
